The Massivit 3000 offers a maximum print volume of 1.2 x 1.5 x 1.8m enabling it to produce giant display and event items, as well as props for TV, film and theatre productions and moulds for thermoforming.
The single engine printer uses the same Gel Dispensing Technology as its 10000 series and 5000 siblings and offers three fixed resolutions of 0.8mm, 1.0mm, and 1.3mm.
The 3000 can run three different proprietary photo polymeric gels: semi-translucent Dimengel 100 (DIM 100); its cost-effective derivative Dimengel 90 (DIM 90); and translucent Dimengel 300 (DIM 300) for fast production of large parts.
All three enable models to cure while printing, delivering solid objects straight off the printer.
The new machine will be demonstrated running live on Massivit’s stand (9/A08) at Drupa, which runs from 28 May to 7 June, alongside the manufacturer's flagship 10000-G printer.
It will be available immediately with pricing understood to start from less than €200,000 (£172,000).
As well as the live demos, a range of pre-products will also be on display at the show, to illustrate the range of products that can be produced for retail and entertainment environments including some that used a flame-retardant material compliant with the ASTM E84 standard.
