Wide-format kit distributor Your Print Specialists (YPS) has been named as the exclusive UK distributor of Moditech’s new EWS (Electronic Work Station) fifth generation flatbed laminators.

Newcastle-based YPS said the machines’ features include an electronically pressurised roller that makes it possible to work anywhere on the table.

This means users don’t have to stretch to reach areas in the middle of the table, they don’t have to use supporting posts during lamination, and there is less likelihood of damaging the sign material. With the table being fully electronic, it therefore doesn’t need a compressor.

The EWS table surface tilts up to 25 degrees to ensure a comfortable working position. The table height control is motorised, so it is easy to adjust it into the most comfortable position for all operators.

There are also built-in wheels that are controlled electronically to make the machine easy to move but also easy to fix in place for added safety.

The unique and patented electronically controlled pressurised roller ensures an accurate and even pressure along the entire length of the roller. This means there is less potential to damage the prints, easier control of the process, and no need for supporting posts to protect the corners or ends of the prints.
