Service Graphics has finessed its UK footprint with consolidation at some branch locations and expansion elsewhere.

The business, owned by Paragon Group, comprises four display graphic factories, 22 specialist print and design centres, two scanning bureaus, two creative studios, and two mail services bureaus. Most of the operations are located across the UK, and it also has a branch in Dublin.

Managing director Mike Holyoake told Printweek: “As part of optimising our market coverage strategy we continually review our physical locations to ensure the most efficient delivery for our clients.

“Our Croydon and Battersea branches have been consolidated into a single South London service centre with extended capabilities to better serve our customers. Our Milton Keynes clients are now serviced from a location we share with one of our sister companies.”

Holyoake said the Skelmersdale production facility in Lancashire had been expanded, with a SwissQprint Nyala 3 large-format printer adding to the site’s capabilities after being relocated from another site. Production for Liverpool will be handled at Skelmersdale, with Liverpool still home to a Creative Studio facility. 

The overall group runs a range of devices from SwissQprint, EFI Vutek and Durst. 

Holyoake said the division’s Human Built expo wing had clocked up “a fantastic year of growth” thanks to the return of face-to-face events. 

“We have recently opened a new, high-profile location within the Birmingham NEC to house both an on-demand repro house and our Human Built business which specialises in exhibition management, bespoke stand building and core services,” he added. 

“This follows expansion and new locations in Aberdeen, Newcastle and our Hybrid Mail facility in Wellington, Somerset. Our go-to-market strategy is delivering good growth and provides a wider suite of services to our customers through an improved coverage model and easier access for our clients to engage with us.”

Service Graphics also added an online platform for 3D printing to its offering at the end of last year, and a revamped Service Graphics website is also in the works. 

Paragon acquired two Service Graphics sites in early 2019. It subsequently rebranded its graphics business, including the Service Point network, under the Service Graphics umbrella. 

Service Graphics won an Innovation award for Added Value at the recent Printweek Awards.
