| New Roland DG line-up on show at Fespa |
Roland DG is presented its overhauled line-up of printers at Fespa 2023, including the manufacturer’s first resin printer, the AP640, and new large-format UV flatbed EU-1000MF.
The Japanese manufacturer, which has launched seven machines since February, said it is using Fespa as an opportunity to show off the new machines alongside existing products at its 250sqm booth.
Printers on display include Roland DG’s TrueVis MG and LG series of printer-cutters, launched in February and March respectively, and TrueVis VG3 and SG3 eco-solvent printers, launched in early 2022.
The EU-1000MF flatbed UV press is likewise on show. Released in March 2023, the 2.4x1.2m press prints 720x1,200 dpi with Roland DG’s Greenguard Gold-certified E-US UV inks, specifically developed for the press to offer high performance at a lower cost than other large-format UV inks, according to the firm.
The new presses joins Roland DG’s freshly-launched VersaObject CO series, designed specifically for customising consumer products. The six CO-series models can print on objects up to 200mm high, with CMYKOrRe plus clear, white or primer, and cure with UV LED lamps, meaning they can also print directly on plastic, leather, wood and cloth.
Roland DG’s AP640 1.6m resin printer is also being displayed on stand D10 in hall A1, following its launch in February, alongside its first direct-to-film (DTF) transfer desktop printer, the VersaStudio BN-20D, designed for small and medium-sized print shops and start-ups.
The new machines are joined at the booth by Roland DG’s most popular existing products, including the VersaStudio BN-20A, VersaUV LEF2-300D direct-to-object printer and CAMM-1 GS2-24 vinyl cutter.
