AMS launches AMS 3500 entry level enveloping line

Mailroom equipment supplier AMS has launched the AMS 3500, to remove the need for ’envelope stuffers’ in the mailroom.

The desktop machine collates, folds, inserts and seals mail in one single process and is being aimed at small mailing houses and printers looking to offer marketing services as well as direct to end-user offices.

According to AMS managing director Kevin McPheat, the 3500 is simple to use, featuring a colour touchscreen control panel with just two buttons.

All a user needs to do is load the documents and envelopes then let the touchscreen guide them through adjusting the settings.

McPheat said: "The downside to the majority of direct mail campaigns is that employees must take time away from their normal job to stuff the envelopes.

"The AMS Folder Inserter range dramatically reduces time spent on this task, saving significant costs to companies."

The machine can handle more than 1,350 envelopes an hour and is capable of taking a range of paper sizes and qualities up to A4.
