| AA grade for KM is third in a row |
Global flexible packaging and lidding films supplier KM Packaging has been awarded the top AA grade in its BRCGS Audit for the third year running.
The Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard (BRCGS) for Food Safety, originally published in 1998, has been developed in collaboration with numerous European retailers and trade associations. The standard provides a framework to assess suppliers in terms of food safety and hygiene.
According to KM Packaging, BRCGS is among the most respected standards in the food industry. AA is the highest level that can be awarded.
KM Packaging says the award reflects the company’s Product Safety & Quality Policy. According to this policy, the company’s practices and procedures include a commitment to ensuring the organisation provides safe and legal products and is compliant with applicable regulations, legislation and other requirements; a commitment to maintaining its responsibilities to customers; and the objective to have zero customer complaints relating to products being unsafe for food contact or not conforming to promised quality.
As part of the policy, KM Packaging says it will strive to continually improve the effectiveness of its product safety and quality management system.
KM Packaging says this delivery of high standards has not gone unnoticed by customers who have described the company as a “positive, creative, and innovative organisation”, and as the “go-to experts when it comes to all things flexible” with “technical strength” that places the company in a “unique place in the materials supply market”.
