Make Cardboard Costumes!
Robot
1 large box
1 small box
gray hoodie
silver spray paint
gray, white, or black gloves
silver face paint
marker pens
4 plastic lids
aluminum foil
Seal one end of your box with silver duct tape. Leave other end open. Do this with both boxes. Spray paint both boxes silver, let them dry.
When dry, cut a circle out of the small box so when placed on the child's head, the hole will be ready-cut for his/her face. Cut the open box ends off or fold them inside the box.
Follow above instructions for the large box, then cut out arm holes. Wrap plastic lids in aluminum foil, then glue lids on box in front, along bottom as control knobs. Use marker pens or paint to draw horizontal lines across the front of the box for effect. Paint your "Robot's" face silver with kid-friendly face paint.
Refrigerator
1 x large box
marker pen
various fridge magnets
post it notes
white spray paint
Fold top of your large box closed, but leave the bottom open. Paint the box white and allow it to dry. Cut a hole out of top for the head and side holes for the arms.
Using a marker pen, draw a handle on the fridge. Decorate with fridge magnets and photos which you can glue on. Stick a couple of post it notes on with messages such as "Pay the Milkman!" and "Buy Birthday Present."
Dice
1 x large box
white spray paint
black craft paint, marker or tissue paper
Tape up one end of your box, fold in the other sides. Cut out your head and arm holes. Spray paint the box white and let it dry. Then, either cut big circles from black tissue paper, or paint on the dice's spots.

small box (the satellite receiver box)
black paint
red craft paint
2 wooden dowels
aluminum foil
magazine picture of a football match/theme to suit the wearer
2 plastic container lids
Tape up one end of your box and fold in the sides of other end. Cut holes for arms and head. Keeping the small box intact, paint it black. When dry, use red paint to paint tv chjannel numbers on the front. Glue your "satellite reciever" to the top of your large box across one of the shoulders.
Wrap wooden dowels in aluminum foil and poke them through the top of the "TV". Use a black marker to outline the tv screen area. Within this, glue a picture onto your TV screen. Glue plastic container lids on as tv control knobs.

paper skeleton decoration, body only
