The 4th Asia Print member meeting was held at 9:30 A.M. on April 10 at F5, Regal Palace Hotel in Dongguan under the able leadership and efficient participation of all eight members. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Wang Demao, the vice chairman executive of PEIAC. The previous meeting was in January 2011 during the Print Pack 2001 Exhibition held in New Deli India with the host being IPAMA .
The meeting opened with a welcome speech given by Mr. Wang Demao followed by introductory remarks by all members who thanked the organizers of Print China 2011 for their excellent hospitality and congratulated the organizers for putting on an excellent show.
It was decided at the meeting to improve the website of Asia Print to make it more interactive and to carry more news from individual members, while ensuring that it is updated on a regular and continuous basis. The meeting then proceeded with the elections for President and Vice President. Mr. Wang Demao was re-elected as President, and Ms. Belle Yam, managing director of Kaizer Exhibitions and Conference Sdn. Bhd of Malaysia, was elected as the new Vice President.
It was decided that the next meeting for Asia Print will be held in Sri Lanka in the last week of the month of February 2012. The exact dates are not yet selected.
At the meetings conclusion, Mr. Yu Zhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the10th CPPCC National Committee, honorary Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation and the Chairman of the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China made a speech regarding the success of Asia Print as an organization and related that he was happy to know about the meetings. He was pleased that a platform has been created for the benefit of the entire Asia region. He termed the meeting a grand success. Mr. Yu Zhen commented, “Asia Print should cover all countries in Asia and should add more eligible members”. “All have the right to make suggestions. Let us make Asia Print a better organization with mutual support, mutual respect and service to the country, government, companies and associations“, he asserted.
